Follow these four easy steps to use the Charcoal Konjac Sponge and achieve soft, smooth, and glowing skin:

1. Run the sponge under warm water until it becomes soft enough to squeeze

2. Apply the Yu-Be Hydrating Face Wash to the sponge and use it to massage your face for at least 60 seconds, using circular motions

3. After use, thoroughly rinse the sponge out with water until it's clean and gently squeeze out the excess water

4. Hang to dry in a well-ventilated area

1. How long will the sponge last?

Depending on how frequently you use the sponge, it will last between 3-6 weeks before needing replacement. The better you take care of your sponge (i.e. by cleaning it properly and storing it in a dry, well-ventilated place), the longer it will last!

If your sponge begins to break down sooner than expected, it is evidence that our sponges are made with natural instead of synthetic ingredients — nature is simply doing its thing and returning to Earth in an appropriate amount of time (as opposed to synthetically made products that never break down or take thousands of years to do so).

2. Is it safe to use around my eyes?

Yes! You can use the sponge to gently massage around the eye and eye lid. The massaging can also help to reduce eye puffiness by encouraging lymphatic drainage.

3. Should I use a cleanser with it?

That's completely up to you! You still get the same gentle exfoliating effect without a cleanser and if you want to simplify your skincare routine, then know that this sponge will act as both a cleanser and exfoliator.

Some people like to use the sponge with no cleanser first thing in the morning and then use a cleanser with it at night, especially if they have been wearing sunscreens and/or been exposed to the outdoor elements during the day.

4. How frequently should I use the sponge?

Make the sponge a part of your daily regimen. Simply use the sponge morning and evening, or whenever you would usually wash or cleanse your face. You cannot actually over exfoliate with the sponge, as it's delicate and only removes the dead skin cells, never damaging the new skin that's underneath. It's much more gentle than scrubs, so very suitable for daily use.

5. Do I need to sterilize my sponge?

As long as you follow the care instructions and make sure to squeeze out the excess water and leave it to hang in a dry place after every use, you should not need to sterilize your sponge. However, if you want to be extra careful about eliminating the bacteria in your sponge, then you can boil it for a few minutes in a pot of water once a week.
